Steel grade

General Information

25CrMo4 is a Cr and Mo alloyed quench and tempering steel with low carbon content. The steel combine high strength with high toughness.

  • Variant 322A correspond to the EN grade 25CrMo4.
  • Variant 322D corresponds to SAE 4130 / 30CrMo4*. Suitable for flame or induction hardening.
  • Variant 322Q is an IQ steel that corresponds to SAE 4130 
  • Variants 6014 and 6016 are both EN grade 25CrMo4 and M-steel

Delivered as rolled, soft annealed, normalized or quench and tempered. Weldable under certain conditions. 

 

IQ-Steel® 
IQ-Steel® is an isotropic quality ultra clean steel optimized for high fatigue strength under multi axial loading.

M-Steel®

The basis for the concept is that non-metallic inclusions are modified and controlled with calcium treatment in a way to minimize tool wear and to maximize chip control in machining operations.

Our M-Steel treatment can be applied to any steel grade.

* Designation followed by "*" is not an official EN standard grade but named according to the rules in EN 10027.
